Bulb Riddle?
You are shown a room with no windows, only a door. You can't see into the room from the outside, and vice versa. A light bulb hangs from the ceiling. There are 3 switches on the outside wall. You are told one switch toggles the light, while the other two do nothing. You may flip any of the switches as many times as you want, but may only walk in the room once. How can you tell which switch controls the lightbulb?
You turn on one switch for like 10 minutes, then turn it off. If that was the right bulb, the glass would be hot. but since you can only go once, you turn off that switch and turn on another one.
when you go to look, eithier the second switch will have the light on, or if all of the lights are off, then you feel the bulbs and see which was hot. If none of them are hot, then the switch you didn't flip is it.
