Switch Outlet Cover
Celing fan outlet will not work?
I put our ceiling fan up and it worked for about a year. I changed the switches in the house to a darker color to match the cover plates. Now the fan will not turn on. It has two switches, one on each side of the room. Neither work, however on the one side it is a double switch on the wires are split into each switch. One of the switches work for our outside light, but the fan one still does not. I've even switched them will new switches and still nothing. Any help????
Make sure that you are using three-way switches. Check your breaker box, the idiot that wired my house has feed lines from two different breakers coming into the same switch box.
If the switches are three-way and are wired correctly and there are no "popped" breakers, a wire may have shaken loose in the fan junction box.
Turn off the breaker and take down the fan and re-check all the connections.
