i'm stumped.
A solar cell converts 12 000J of solar energy into 4 800 J of electrical energy. Then a fan converts the electrical energy energy into 12 000 J of wind energy. What is the total efficiency of the system? Show your work.
ps. Energy efficiency= useful energy output/input energy x100%
the efficiency is 100%. if the solar energy converts from 12000j, which is the input into 4800j and then back to 12000j in wind energy which is the output. the input 12000 divided by the 12000 is 1 times 100 and thats 100. so the answer is one hundred, the input is equal to the output. in other words there isn't any extra energy that is gained or lost
