What is and where can i get a network access panel?
I am trying to add ethernet cabling all around my home. I have got a drill, wall sockets, keystones(cat6), and the cables, no i need an access panel.... i think its like a breaker switch am i right? if not what is it? how do i use itA? where do i connect the actual internet to it? does it have like a wan port or something? and where can i get one?
Patch panel is where you punch down each wire from each room, and it then has the RJ-45 jacks on it, so you plug ethernet cables from the patch panel to your router/switch/etc.
I've seen them at Home Depot stores, under home wiring for phones/tv/networking....
