Furnace fan not shutting off in auto?
a couple of days ago we had a power surge in our house and it fried my furnace. We it repaired and going again, but now when it is in auto the fan runs constantly and when I switch it to the on setting it shuts off. Do I need to replace my thermostat or is there possible more to it?
Blower Does Not Turn Off - Always Running
Possible Causes
Thermostat set to fan continuous
Faulty fan limit control switch on furnace (if thermostat has no fan setting)
Possible Repairs
Change thermostat fan setting
Reset or replace furnace fan limit control switch

Since I service, and install, these daily I am willing to bet you either need to reset (or replace) the fan limit control switch. It is inexpensive to do, and you can do it yourself. But check your thermostat first for the proper wiring, settings, and connection(s).
