Want to move to Cuba to basically learn Spanish.?

Seems as if I would be better off financially and maybe even culturally just living with a family and living everyday life to finally pick up the language. I understand there are schools out there that provide homestays in order to learn the lanuage, but I do need to be very frugal, with my funds, and since Cuba is relatively cheap, I think it in my best interest not to pay a large company money for something I can go to the country for and pick up through other methods. My problem isnt understanding so much as speaking fluently. Any suggestions?
I am of Jamaican/Cuban descent, I have been to Cuba before and although not democratic, the people and culture are amazing. Please responses about housing options in Cuba only.

Cuba is not necessisarily cheap, but living with a Family is a better way to learn the language.
Those who advise against going to Cuba are usually Miami Cubans and HATE the regeme.
Me, l can't stand Bush.
Keep the politics out of the conversation and you will love the People their culture and Music and will leave with a desire to always return.
