Is my idea of a more energy and GAS efficient AUTOMOBILE engine a good one be honest?
So I was thinking about engines and the crank shaft etc. I got to thinking about how to waste less energy and I got to thinking of thermoelectric energy which turns heat into electric energy. They have devices that do this known as peltiers so you could use one of those and if used correctly you could take the quick burst of heat energy and turn it into ELECTRICAL which happens when a spark plug hits the gas and a bunch of heat energy is wasted. You could then use the electric current to power an ELECTRIC magnet which would be underneath or near the crank shaft which would cause a PULL down on the crankshaft which means that more energy would be being used on the crankshaft that was originally wasted. What do people think of this idea could it work in theory? Please express yourself about it? At the VERY least this heat energy could go to charge a battery or something right?
all the heat energy is captured in a practical engine. that is what makes the cooling system hot. the place to put the peltiers would be as a replacement or adjunct for the radiator. so in theory there would be a little electrical power that could be extracted to help recharge the battery, but in cold weather, you would still want the BTUs to be available for the passenger compartment heater.
