Greencard Los Angeles Help!?
Hi I am a 15 Year old boy and I'm going to move to Los Angeles when I'm 18 to pursue my career as an actor. I live in Canada an I'm a Canadian Citizen I have a few questions I would like to ask about the "Greencard".
Do I need one if I'm going to work in a non professional field (ex:Fastfood,waiter)
How long does it take to get one if I'm a Canadian citizen?
Is there a way to apply for a Greencard in Canada?
Can I work while I am in process of getting my green card?
That's it, I would appreciate it if someone could answer these questions for me.
Here are three ways to get a green card:
* Through an offer of permanent employment by a U.S. employer.
* Through the sponsorship of a relative in the United States who is a citizen or holds a green card.
* Through an investment of one million dollars or more which creates employment for Americans or other situations where an extraordinary or exceptional person need not have a job offer in the United States.
I think it would be easier for you to just get a work permit, you don't really need to go through all the paperwork! Plus you're still young and you might want to go back home and I think you lose your residency if you stop living in the States for more than 6 months.
