Which has the best diet: Chinese, Italian, or Mexican?
I'm talking about authentic food, not Wong's takeout, Ray's Pizza, or Taco bell...I mean, you always see these people having relatives who eat their food live up to be very old...but which is the healthiest in your opinion?
(correct me if i'm wrong on these)
Chinese: heavy use of vegetables (meat is usually not the main course) and some fish. Green tea, ginger, and rice all consumed regularly. Diary not very popular.
Italian: lots of tomatoes in food which boosts immunity, fish, diary for strong bones from chesses/milk, wine
Mexican: ...beans? i dunno much about authentic mexican food...but it seems healthy doesnt it?
I have to disagree with the saying that mexican food is greasy. That is just the mexican food you see here.
In mexico a lot of tomatoes onions, garlic, and chiles are eaten. All of those have great effects on one's health. They also eat a lot of beans, rice, and tortillas (not flour but fresh stone ground corn)
They eat a minimal amount of sugar and bread (empty calories and carbs) in their diet so its fairly healthy. One of the biggest issues is mostly the amount of food eaten at any given time.
Chinese cuisine is very healthy consisting of fresh tea with little to no sweetner. Rice, fresh fish, vegetables and fresh herbs. A lot of soy products and very few bread is consumed.
Italians yes eat tomatoes but eat a lot of unhealthy carbs in breads and pastas.
I would say an asian cuisine (japanese, chinese, and indian) is the healthiest of all with mexican food following right after.
