What happens when your green card gets revoked at the port of entry?
My cousin was questioned at the airport because she spent a lot of time abroad over the past few years (never more than a year). If they take her green card away at the border next time she comes back what happens? Does she get to appeal the decision? Does she get to reapply for a green card in the future? Can she still come in on a tourist visa in the future?
It doesn't matter if she was never gone more than a year. What matters is the cumulative absence. Once the CBP Officer believes she's no longer a resident on the United States he'll take her card. He can send her back or he can parole her into the United States for departure.
Does she file a US income tax return each year? Does she include all the income from everywhere in the world?
