What are your favorite tightwad/cheapskate/frugal ideas to save money?
I save money by buying what is on special, no name brands are made by big name brand companies and taste the same to me and that takes a lot off the cost of my groceries. I shop at second hand stores, I have some lovely clothes too as do all my children and my husband. Life is not a brand name you can enjoy it at the same level if not more by just living well, not opulently. I have seen some truly spectacular houses that were built by using recycled timbers and fittings, very eclectic and special. I try to fix things before they get tossed out and I have discovered I am quite the handy lady. I am a good cook so there is no reason to eat out except on a special occasion. Air dry clothes instead of using the dryer, absolutely free. Don't buy dry clean only clothing, save yourself a hefty bill there. Buy low wattage bulbs. Don't leave a light burning for no eye to see. Things like our grandparents did.
