Whats the cheapest way to keep your fridge stocked w/ kid friendly drinks (juice, soda etc) ?

We are a thirsty family of 5, on a very tight budget. I feel like I'm buying more bottles of juice & soda every other day. We also have a Brita water filter, so we DO drink water. Looking for: Best stores (we live in Central Florida), online shopping ideas, powdered mixes?? I'm open to suggestions from other frugal parents.

I am a mom to 10 kids, we use lot more koolaid now days, I limit the juices to once a day. I only buy soda when it is on sale and usually a 2 liter bottle, but that is on a rare occasion. Another drink we have on hand is Power Aid and Gatorade.

Another thing you can do is make your own juices from other fruit and veggies in the house, If you see that your not going to eat it, make juice out of it, use the pulp in other soups and you can make frozen pops and smoothies from the fruit also.

Leftover coffee in the carafe? Freeze it in ice cube trays. Use the cubes for iced coffee or to cool down too-hot coffee without diluting it. You can do the same with leftover tea.

Instead of soft drinks, I tried making my own at home and love it. Depending on the size of my glass, I put 1-2 TBSP frozen juice concentrate (keep frozen) in a glass and fill with chilled club soda. Delicious, light and refreshing. It's fun to try different flavor combinations. I particularly like mixing limeade and fruit punch concentrates.

100% juice can also be used with sparkling water or club soda to make a great tasting natural soft drink.

You can save as much as 50% when you buy frozen juice compared to juice that comes in the cartons or bottles and is already made. A quick check of prices for a local supermarket has a frozen can of generic orange juice selling for $1.50 and a well-known brand can of frozen juice selling for $2.00, compared to a carton orange juice from a well-known brand selling for $3.79. That’s big savings!
