Frugal Living During

Can I live on this amount per month?
I receive a small stipend of 1200 a month from an inheritance. I have no mortgage, just basic utilities, property tax, health insurance which went up, etc. I need to pay in on interest earned from the income at tax time approx 1000. I would like to be able to put some away for a rainy day in case of medical emergencies, car problems and I was hoping it was possible to take a few trips during the year also on this amount. I shop at thrift stores, always have and am pretty frugal. I was wondering if this was possible to live on. I'm not retired and was laid off because of this economy so this has helped me see me through these hard times. I could take my pension early in a few years at a reduced amount, but I don't want to if at all possible.
Yes you can live in 1200/month (survive might be a better word) But don't plan on any trips, or saving much. One trip to the emergency room will wipe out your savings.
