What do goths see in alice in wonderland anyway?
I feel stupid asking this bc i'm a goth myself, it makes me feel like i'm fake in that i dont understand the fasination most goths have with alice in wonderland. It may just be bc i've never gotten to read the book myself, only thing i've seen is that lolipop movie disney made, but i dont really know. Can anyone explain it to me?
Basically young goths are attracted to the new movie because its from Tim Burton, his films are usually loved by goths (Nightmare before Christmas and Corpse Bride had goth themes and influence). The new movie has a darker twist to the original tale, so its a mainstream media product that goths can enjoy (which is rare). Thats why they love it. (Also some might love it to look 'goth')
The book isn't goth at all, I read it, its just completely nonsensical, which isn't really goth
